What support is available?
If you would like to talk through a disagreement or explore ways of resolving it, including whether mediation may be appropriate, please contact The Mediation Service at mediation@st-andrews.ac.uk for a confidential and informal conversation.
Support can include:
- Individual sessions – one-to-one support for preparing for challenging conversations and exploring options.
- Facilitated conversations – structured discussions supported by a neutral facilitator.
- Mediation – bringing people together to discuss issues and explore solutions.
- Group mediation – support where conflict is affecting a wider group.
- Conflict resolution training – developing skills and confidence for managing workplace conflict.
The Mediation Service can support you to explore the most suitable approach for your situation.
When should I contact the Mediation Service?
You do not need to wait until a situation becomes serious before seeking support. The sooner you raise a concern, the more opportunity there is to address it constructively and support a positive outcome for everyone involved.
