Need help now? The Security and Response Team are available 24/7 on 01334 468999. If a crime is in progress or you require urgent medical attention, please call 999. If outside the UK, please call the emergency service in that locality. Please also see our support pages.
You have chosen to disclose an incident/concern anonymously. This means the University will not collect any personal details from you.
Anonymous disclosures let the University know something has happened. Your disclosure will help the University better understand and give us the opportunity to proactively address any recurring themes or issues that are highlighted within our community. We take all disclosures seriously, but if you choose not to provide your name or contact details, this will constrain the University's ability to take action and we will not be able to contact you to offer support.
However, you now have the option to engage with a member of staff through our anonymous messaging system. You will be asked whether or not you want to use this service after question 8, before you review and submit your response.
Other ways to make a disclosure
- If you prefer, you can choose to disclose with contact details (this is not anonymous). This will allow an appropriate member of staff to contact you and explore the possible options you have available to you. For example, this conversation may be used to provide you with more information or you may choose to make an official complaint or register your concern. This conversation will also allow you to be referred for specific support where this is appropriate. You can read more information on the questions you will be asked.
- If the matter is about student welfare, you can contact Student Services
- If the matter is about student conduct, you can contact the Student Conduct Officer directly if preferred.
- For criminal matters, you can report to Police Scotland at any time through the online contact form, by calling 101 to report non-emergency matters and general enquiries, or by calling 999 in an emergency.
