You have chosen to disclose an incident to the University and to give your contact details. Please note that the University of St Andrews will be closed from 5pm on Monday 23rd December 2024 and will re-open on Monday 6th January 2025. Please be aware that staff will be unable to respond until they return to work. Upon re-opening, one of our advisors will contact you to support you with next steps within three working days.
This does not normally initiate a formal complaints process. Any information you provide at this stage will remain private and confidential unless we believe there is a serious safety, welfare, or a duty of care concern.
Other ways to make a disclosure
- If you prefer, you can choose to disclose anonymously instead. This means your personal details will not be collected, and the University will be unable to contact you.
- If the matter is about student welfare, you can contact Student Services
- If the matter is about student conduct, you can contact the Student Conduct Officer directly if preferred.
- For criminal matters, you can report to Police Scotland at any time through the online contact form, by calling 101 to report non-emergency matters and general enquiries, or by calling 999 in an emergency.
