Emergency: Report and Support is not an emergency service. If there is an immediate risk of serious harm please call the emergency services on 999 (dial 9999 from a University extension). Please also notify the University’s Security and Response Team on 01334 46 8999 (dial 8999 from a University extension ).
If you know someone who has experienced or is experiencing wellbeing or mental health problems, you can help in the following ways:
  • Listen. Take the time to listen and talk about what has happened.
  • Signpost options. Ask them if they’re okay to talk through some possible options for support or how they might report what has happened. Be mindful of your own wellbeing. Do not feel you have to take on the role of a counsellor or therapist.
  • Help them report. If they want to, and you feel able to, you can help them report their concerns or experiences.
